This patch represents the continent of Africa in its most recognizable shape depicted on a globe and the Mercater Projection Map.  The Mercater Projection is one representation of the continent that is shaped like the globe but does not represent the proportional size of the continent as does the Peters' Projection.

Taking care of your iron-on patches is essential to keep them looking sharp and in place. Here are some general instructions to follow:

1. Wait Before Washing: Give the patch at least 24 hours to set before washing the garment.
2. Turn Inside Out: To protect the patch during washing, turn the garment inside out.
3. Cold Water Wash: Use cold water to wash the garment to prevent the patch from peeling off.
4. Gentle Cycle: Choose a gentle cycle if you're using a washing machine, or better yet, hand wash the garment.
5. Air Dry: Avoid using a dryer. Instead, air dry the garment to prevent the patch from becoming loose.

A few additional tips for iron-on patches:

• If the patch starts to lift after washing, you can re-iron it to secure it back in place. Just make sure to use a cloth over the patch to avoid direct heat.
• For items that undergo heavy use, consider sewing around the edges of the patch for extra security.
