The Sankofa Adinkra is generally depicted as a bird with its feet facing forward and head turned backward taking an egg from its back. It symbolizes the importance of reaching back to knowledge gained in the past and bringing it into the present in order to move forward and make progress into the future. Our kinaras are hand carved and reflect the natural variations in the wood making each Kinara a unique piece of art. This kinara is inspired by the mighty Egyptian pyramids. They are hand stained and will vary slightly. Each Kinara generally measures: 11.5”(L) x 2.5”(W) x 6” (H). Choose between Honey or Espresso. Candles are not included.
