Malcolm X's famous 1964 speech, "By Any Means Necessary" was given on December 3rd as a part of a debate sponsored by the Oxford Union, a student organization at Britain's Oxford University.  The propostion under debate was "Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice, moderaton in the pursuit of justice is no virtue".


The title of this speech has become a very well quoted turn of phrase in the Black experience.
